The second major of the 2019 golf season is set to get underway on Thursday morning. Which golfer will emerge as the winner in the PGA Championship?
According to the latest oddsmakers, Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka are the three co-favorites, as each has 10/1 odds to win. Rory McIlroy is listed with 12/1 odds. The 2019 PGA Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York

Perhaps its wishful thinking, but we picked Tiger for the Masters and he came through. This weekend, there are definitely reasons to believe he can go 2-for-2 in majors in 2019. Bethpage Black is a course he has won a major at before, so he should be confident coming in. He also comes in rested, as he hasn’t played in a tournament since Augusta, so his back should be good to go this weekend. After finally winning that major last month, Tiger now knows he can truly win these events again and I think that is dangerous for the rest of the golf world.

Rahm has been knocking on the door to win his first major for a few years and I think this weekend could be his time. In 2019, Rahm has played in 10 tournaments and finished in the top 10 in seven of them without missing a single cut. He finished ninth at Augusta and was fourth in the 2018 PGA Championship. Rahm is playing as well as anyone right now and I think he should be right near the top of the leaderboard again this weekend.

Looking for a real long shot? Lucas Glover could be your man. Glover was the 2009 U.S. Open champion at Bethpage Black, his only major championship. He hasn’t really done much since then, but is having a resurgence as of late. He started the 2019 season 136th in the world rankings and has climbed up to 82nd this week. Out of 10 tournaments this year, he has three top-10 finishes and has placed in the top 15 in nine of his last 13 tournaments. This is a course he should know well and given his recent play, I think he has some really good value as a dark horse option for you this weekend.
