Rory McIlroy PGA Odds
KOHLER, WI (TheSpread) – After missing the last number of weeks with an injury, can Rory McIlroy contend for the PGA Championship this weekend?
According to the latest oddsmakers, McIlroy is currently listed with 9/1 odds to win the PGA Championship. He also has odds of -115 to finish in the top 10 and odds of +400 to be the top European finisher.
McIlroy is the defending PGA Championship winner. It was his second PGA Championship, as he also won in 2012. McIlroy has done very well in this event. He has appeared six times in his career and placed in the top 10 in five of those six appearances, including four top-3 finishes. In his career, McIlroy has four major championships and he has placed in the top 10 in six of his last seven major championships.
McIlroy is currently the top-ranked golfer in the world. He has a slight edge on Jordan Spieth for that honor right now, but it could be in jeopardy this weekend. McIlroy hasn’t played since the U.S. Open, when he placed ninth. He injured his ankle playing soccer with friends and hasn’t competed since the U.S. Open. He says he is 100 percent heading into this event, but it is hard to know for sure. McIlroy has three wins this year with a total of eight top-10 finishes.
