Charles Schwab Challenge Picks
Some big names are set to compete in the 2019 PGA Charles Schwab Challenge this weekend. Who will emerge from the back and grab a tour victory this week?
According to the latest oddsmakers, Jordan Spieth is favored to win the tournament, as he has 10/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jon Rahm (11/1), Justin Rose (11/1) and Rickie Fowler (12/1). The 2019 PGA Charles Schwab Challenge takes place Thursday-Sunday from Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.
Bet on the PGA Charles Schwab Challenge
1001 Jon Rahm 11/1
We picked Rahm last weekend and he definitely didn’t come through, missing the cut. However, I think that can lead to him picking up a win this weekend. He was runner-up in this event in 2017 and got a head start on a lot of the field by missing last weekend’s cut. Last week was his first missed cut of the year. He has seven top-10 finishes over 11 tournaments. I think he will bounce back in a big way this weekend.
1000 Justin Rose 11/1
Rose is the defending champion of this tournament and he is having a solid 2019 thus far with one win and four top-10 finishes. Rose was 29th in last week’s PGA Championship and he has placed in the top 10 in three of his last five events. Rose is the top-ranked golfer in this weekend’s field and I think it will lead to good things. He has played very well in the non-majors in the U.S.
1008 Bryson DeChambeau 25/1
DeChambeau is not playing well right now, but he is still ranked in the top 10 in the world and getting some longer odds. I think he has a lot of value. Despite not placing in the top 10 over his last eight tournaments, he still has one win and four top-10 finishes in 2019. He has missed two cuts this year, his last two tournaments, but I think he can bounce back this weekend. This is a course he is familiar with, so I think DeChambeau will be a top contender for the win.
