CIMB Classic Odds
The 2019 PGA Tour makes its way overseas this week for the CIMB Classic. Here’s a look at the odds to win this tournament.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Justin Thomas is heavily favored to win, as he has 9/2 odds to prevail. Other short odds to win are Billy Horschel (14/1), Ryan Moore (14/1), Paul Casey (16/1) and Xander Schauffele (16/1). The CIMB Classic takes place Thursday-Sunday from TPC Kuala Lumpur in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Thomas is a two-time winner of this event, winning two years ago and three years ago. He is fourth in the world rankings coming into the weekend. Thomas is coming off a strong Ryder Cup, one of the few Americans to play well, as he scored four points. This year, Thomas has two wins and 10 top-10 finishes.
Horschel is 35th in the world rankings right now. He has had a pretty strong run as of late, finishing in the top 3 in three of his last four events. While he is winless this year, he has five top-10 finishes.
Moore is a two-time winner of this event as well, last winning in 2014. He comes into the weekend 61st in the world rankings. Moore is winless this year in 20 events with five top-10 finishes. He is coming off a runner-up finish at the Safeway Open.
Casey is 20th in the world rankings and coming off a great Ryder Cup showing for Europe. This year, Casey has played in 20 events and he has one win with six top-10 finishes. He finished seventh in this tournament a year ago.
Schauffele is 18th in the world rankings entering the weekend. He is winless in 2018 out of 24 tournaments, but has placed in the top 10 in six events. Schauffele is coming off back-to-back top-10 finishes in his last two events. He also finished third in this tournament last year.
