Genesis Invitational Predictions
It’s a big week on the PGA Tour, as some of the biggest names in the game will compete in The Genesis Invitational. Here’s three names we think you should consider to win.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Rory McIlroy is favored to win the tournament, as he has 15/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Justin Thomas (9/1) and Jon Rahm (10/1). The 2020 Genesis Invitational takes place Thursday-Sunday from Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California.
Bet on the Genesis Invitational
1000 Rory McIlroy 15/2
McIlroy has been on fire on his way back up to the top ranking in the world. He has finished in the top five in his last four tournaments and has been in the top 10 in nine of his last 11 events. That stretch includes two victories. McIlroy also looked good at this course last year, placing fourth. Given the hot streak McIlroy is on right now, it’s hard to overlook him as the favorite.
1008 Bubba Watson 18/1
Watson is a golfer that is very streaky, but he is also very consistent at specific courses. This is one of those courses. Watson is a three-time champion of this event, last taking the title in 2018. He also comes into this week playing well, as he was sixth at the Farmers Insurance Open and third in the Phoenix Open. Given his recent upswing, and the fact he’s going to a course he plays very well, I think Watson is definitely a great value play this weekend.
1006 Brooks Koepka 22/1
You don’t see Koepka with these kind of odds anymore. There’s good reason for that, as he hasn’t been playing well over the late stages of 2019 and to start 2020. He just lost his No. 1 ranking, which he held for nearly a year. Kopeka may look like a calm guy, but he’s very competitive. That’s what allowed him to get to the top of the golfing world. I think, despite recent struggles, losing that No. 1 spot will motivate him to get back to playing at a high level. He feels he is the best and will be looking to prove that again this weekend. I think he has great value this weekend.
