The Memorial Tournament Odds
DUBLIN, OH (TheSpread) – A stacked PGA field heads to Ohio this week for The Memorial Tournament. Here is a look at the odds for this event.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Jordan Spieth is the favorite to win this event, as he has 13/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (12/1) and Hideki Matsuyama (18/1). The Memorial Tournament takes place from June 4-7 from Muirfield Village Golf Course in Dublin, Ohio.
Spieth is second in the world rankings, but he has finished outside the top 20 in two of this last three events. He does have two victories this year. Spieth placed 19th in this tournament a year ago.
Dustin Johnson is eighth in the world rankings. He is coming off an eighth-place finish last weekend, but that was his first top 10 in four events. Johnson has one win this year and he finished 46th in this event a year ago.
Matsuyama is the defending champion of this event. He is currently 14th in the world rankings and has finished in the top 25 in seven straight events. He is looking for his first win of 2015.
Tiger Woods, a five-time winner of this tournament, is also competing. He has been given 22/1 odds to win this week. He is currently 172nd in the world rankings and he has yet to crack the top 10 in 2015.
