DEAN & DELUCA Invite Picks
The 2016 DEAN & DELUCA Invitational begins play on Thursday morning. Here are some suggested plays we have for this tournament.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Jordan Spieth is favored to win this event, as he has 13/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Adam Scott (12/1) and Matt Kuchar (14/1). The DEAN & DELUCA Invitational takes place Thursday-Sunday from Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.
Bet on the DEAN & DELUCA Invitational
Jordan Spieth may not have had a great final round last weekend, but he still played well and we think he should make a run at this tournament in his home state. He was the runner-up a year ago and still has one win and five top-10 finishes this year, in what is being looked at as a “down year” for him.
Matt Kuchar is coming off a strong showing last week, taking third place in the AT&T Byron Nelson. This is a tournament he has played well at before, so look for him to be strong again this week. He has placed in the top 10 in four of his last six events and we think he can get his first win of 2016 in Fort Worth.
Zach Johnson has 25/1 odds to win this week and he is a two-time winner of this tournament. While he hasn’t been playing well, finishing outside the top 25 in five straight, coming back to this course should spark something in him. Johnson has been one of the steady golfers on tour for a few years, so a bad streak doesn’t typically last long.
