Wells Fargo Championship Picks
The 2016 Wells Fargo Championship begins play on Thursday morning. Here are a trio of golfers that we think can win this weekend.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Rory McIlroy is the clear favorite this weekend, as he has 4/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Rickie Fowler (14/1) and Adam Scott (20/1). The Wells Fargo Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from Quail Hollow in Charlotte, NC.
Bet on the Wells Fargo Championship
Rory McIlroy is hard to pass up, even with such short odds. He is the defending champion and two-time winner of this event. McIlroy is surprisingly without a win this year, but we think that will change this weekend. He has finished in the top 10 in three of his last four events, so look for him to finish the job this week.
Hideki Matsuyama has 22/1 odds to win this weekend and we like those odds. He has finished in the top 10 in two of his last three events, including a seventh-place finish at the Masters. He already has a win this year as well, so he has been playing at a high level throughout 2016. He also finished 20th in this tournament a year ago, so he is familiar with the course and how to play it well.
Bill Haas has 66/1 odds for the tournament, but he is on a nice streak of finishing in the top 25 in his last four tournaments, including one runner-up finish. Haas is seeking his first win of 2016 and we think this week could be when it happens.
