The 2016 The Memorial Tournament begins play on Thursday morning. Here are some suggested plays we have for this tournament.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Jason Day is favored to win this tournament, as he has 6/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy, who each have 7/1 odds to win. The Memorial Tournament takes place on Thursday-Sunday from Muirfield Village Golf Course in Dublin, Ohio.
Bet on the The Memorial Tournament
Jason Day has been playing the best of the big three, as he has three wins in the 2016 season already and owns the No. 1 ranking in the world. Despite missing the cut in this event a year ago, we think he will play well this weekend. He had last week off to stay fresh and is coming off a win in his last outing.
Jordan Spieth is also coming off a strong showing last week, finally picking up a win in his home state. Even in what some are calling a “down” year, Spieth has two wins and a number of top-10 finishes. Look for him to build of the win last weekend to have another strong outing this week.
Patrick Reed has 35/1 odds to win this tournament and we think he can make a run at the title. Reed is winless on the year, but has six top-10 finishes with two runner-up finishes. He played in this tournament a year ago and finished 26th, so he has some experience at the course. If Reed can start strong, he should be a force this weekend.
