RBC Canadian Open Picks

The British Open Championship gets underway early Thursday morning. Here is a look at some golfers we like to contend for this year’s title.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Jason Day is a slight favorite to win it all, as he has 5/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (11/2) and Matt Kuchar (14/1). The RBC Canadian Open takes place Thursday-Sunday from Glen Abbey in Oakville, Ontario.

Jason Day remains hard to ignore. Despite finishing outside the top 20 at The Open Championship, he still has been great on the Tour, finishing in the top 10 in four of his last five events prior to last week. He has three wins this year with a total of eight top-10 finishes. He also is the defending champion at this tournament.

Bet on the RBC Canadian Open

Dustin Johnson had an under-the-radar finish last week, placing ninth at the British Open. He has now finishing in the top 10 in five straight events, including two majors and a WGC tournament. Look for Johnson to continue that streak this week as he builds for a run at the PGA Championship next week.

Brandt Snedeker has 22/1 odds this weekend and we like him as a contender to win. He was the 2013 champion of this tournament and has one win with five top-10 finishes on the year. He finished tied for 22nd last weekend at the British Open and can really make a push this weekend in a field lacking much star power outside of Day and Johnson.
