Valspar Championship Picks
The Valspar Championship is set to tee off on Thursday, March 8, 2018. Here are some golfers we like to contend for the victory this weekend.
According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, Jordan Spieth is the favorite this week with 17/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Rory McIlroy (14/1), Sergio Garcia (16/1) and Justin Rose (16/1). Tiger Woods is also competing and has 20/1 odds. The Valspar Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida.
Bet on Golf Odds for Thursday, March 7, 2018
6301 Jordan Spieth 17/2
Jordan Spieth isn’t playing his best this year, but there are still reasons to like him to win this weekend. Spieth is a former champion of this tournament and tends to play well at tournaments he has had success at. His “down” play has still resulted in five top-20 performances in six tournaments. He still has a pair of top-10 finishes as well. This field is competitive, but still without some of the hottest golfers right now. I think Spieth can put it together and earn his first win of 2018.
6309 Adam Hadwin 33/1
The defending champion of this tournament, Adam Hadwin comes in on a little bit of a hot streak. Hadwin finished sixth in the Genesis Open and then was ninth last week in the Mexico Championship. He has three top-10 finishes in the 2018 season and has made the cut in all six tournaments he has taken part it. Now he returns to the scene of his last win. I think he puts up another strong performance and pushes to be a back-to-back chmpion.
6315 Webb Simpson 40/1
Webb Simpson is a nice option at 40/1 this weekend. He is having a pretty good 2018 season thus far, as he has two top-10 finishes over five tournaments. This is also a tournament that he has had success in before. Simpson was runner-up in 2011, finishing 14 under par. That still stands as the best runner-up score since 2004. With a little confidence under his belt from good showings this year, I think Simpson should have a strong run this weekend.
