Sentry Tournament of Champions Picks
The 2019 PGA Tour Season gets started on Thursday with the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Here’s some golfers we like to contend for the win.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Dustin Johnson is favored to win this tournament, as he is getting 5/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jon Rahm (8/1), Justin Thomas (8/1) and Brooks Koepka (11/1). The Sentry Tournament of Champions takes place Thursday-Sunday from Kapalua Resort in Kapalua, Hawaii.
Bet on the Sentry Tournament of Champions
Dustin Johnson 5/1
Johnson is the defending champion and a two-time winner of this tournament. He won last year’s event by eight strokes. He enters this weekend third in the world rankings. He had three wins in 2018 and finished in the top 10 in three of his last five tournaments to end the season. Johnson missed just one cut all of last year.
Justin Thomas 8/1
Thomas won this tournament back in 2017 and he comes into this weekend fourth in the world rankings. Thomas had two wins in the 2018 season while missing just one cut. He finished in the top 10 in five of his last nine tournaments, finishing in the top 12 in seven of the nine events. Thomas should be very comfortable in this course and ready to push for the win.
Patrick Reed 16/1
Reed is another former winner in this tournament, as he won in 2015 in a playoff. He also finished runner-up in 2016. Reed picked up one win in the 2018 season, which was the Masters Championship. Reed did struggle through a lot of the season, missing five cuts, but he made his last eight cuts in 2018 and had four top-20 finishes. I think Reed has a lot of value at 16/1 this weekend.
