Shriners Hospitals Open Predictions
The 2020 PGA Tour continues its early stages of the season with The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open this weekend. Here’s three golfers we like to contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Brooks Koepka is the favorite to win this weekend with 8/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Patrick Cantlay (12/1), Bryson DeChambeau (16/1), Adam Scott (20/1) and Webb Simpson (20/1). The 2019 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open takes place Thursday-Sunday from TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bet on The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open
1002 Bryson DeChambeau 16/1
DeChambeau is the defending champion of this tournament and he is riding a little momentum coming into this weekend. He finished 13th in the Safeway Open and was seventh in the TOUR Championship. The 2019 season didn’t go terribly well for DeChambeau, but he did start the year fast and I think he can start this new season fast as well. Look for him to be a top contender this weekend. At 16/1, there is very good value there.
1003 Webb Simpson 20/1
Another former winner of this event, Simpson has been really steady to end the 2019 year. He has made the cut in 13 straight events and placed in the top 20 in nine of his last 12 outings. While Simpson hasn’t managed a win in the calendar year, I think he is playing as well as anyone right now, especially in this field. I like Simpson to push for his first victory of the year this weekend. He is sure to make the cut and just needs a strong putter to get to the top of the leaderboard.
1006 Tony Finau 22/1
We keep waiting for Finau to secure his first win since 2016 and this weekend could be the weekend. Finau is a steady player that just needs a bounce to go his way to really surge up the leaderboard. He has finished in the top 10 in three of his last four tournaments, including his last two on American soil. Finau also has played in this event in recent years, which is something that many of the high-tier favorites haven’t done. I think his experience here, coupled with his strong play in recent months, will lead him to a top-10 run and possibly a win. At 22/1, Finau is a great play this weekend.
