The Memorial Tournament Odds
A stacked field contends for the championship in The Memorial Tournament this week. Here’s a look at the odds to win this PGA Tournament.
According to the latest oddsmakers, both Dustin Johnson and Jason Day are the favorites to win, as each has 12/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Justin Rose, Justin Thomas and Rory McIlroy, who each are given 14/1 odds. The Memorial Tournament takes place from Thursday-Sunday from Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.
Johnson was the top-ranked golfer in the world for over a year before falling to second a few weeks ago. Johnson has five top-10 finishes this year with one win over nine tournaments. He missed the cut in this event a year ago.
Day is eighth in the world rankings. He has played in seven tournaments this year and has four top-10 finishes with two victories. He has finished in the top 5 of his last two tournaments. Day was 15th in this tournament a year ago.
Rose won this tournament in 2010 and also finished second in 2015 and 2008. He climbed to third in the world rankings this week thanks to a win in the Forth Worth Invitational. Rose has four top-10 finishes this year out of nine tournaments and hasn’t missed a cut.
Thomas is the current No. 1 golfer in the world. He had a tremendous 2017 season, scoring five victories. He has followed that up with four top-10 finishes in 2018 through 10 tournaments, including one victory. Thomas has finished 22nd or better in all 10 tournaments this year.
McIlroy comes into this week eighth in the world rankings. He was eighth in the BMW PGA Championship in Europe and has five top-10 finishes over 12 tournaments this year. However, he has missed three cuts.
