Genesis Open Odds
The 2018 Genesis Open is the next tournament up on the PGA Tour. Here is a look at the odds to win this event.
According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, Dustin Johnson is the favorite this week, as he has 5/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Rory McIlroy (11/1), Jordan Spieth (12/1) and Justin Thomas (16/1). Tiger Woods is also playing this week and has 40/1 odds to win. The Genesis Open takes place Thursday-Sunday from Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California.
Johnson is the defending champion of this tournament, winning by five strokes. DJ has also finished second in this event in 2014 and 2015. In three events this year, Johnson has finished in the top 10 of all three including a win and a runner-up finish.
McIlroy has fallen back to 10th in the world rankings after missing the cut at Pebble Beach this past weekend. He had finished in the top 3 in this first two events of the year, but was playing in the US for the first time in 2018. McIlroy has failed to crack the top 20 in his last five tournaments on American soil.
Spieth remains third in the world rankings after a 20th-place finish at Pebble Beach this past weekend. He has finished outside the top 10 in his last three tournaments. Spieth was 22nd in this tournament a year ago.
Thomas is fourth in the world rankings after winning five events last year. Thomas has finished outside the top 10 in all three tournaments he has played in this year, but not finished worse than 22nd. In last year’s tournament, Thomas placed 39th.
