Safeway Open Odds
Tiger Woods is set to return to action this week when he competes in the Safeway Open. Here is a look at the odds for this week’s PGA event.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Woods is not among the favorites, as he has 33/1 odds to win. Paul Casey is listed as the favorite with 12/1 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Matt Kuchar (14/1) and Phil Mickelson (14/1). The Safeway Open takes place Thursday-Sunday from Silverado Resort in Napa, California.
Woods is currently 786th in the world rankings as he hasn’t played in competition since late in 2015 at the Wyndham Championship. Woods will be seeking his first victory since the 2013 season.
Casey is currently 12th in the world rankings. He hasn’t been able to lock down a win since 2014, but he has finished in the top 5 in his last three tournaments.
Kuchar is 17th in the world rankings. He has yet to pick up a win in the 2016 season, but has won at least one tournament the last four years. He has finished in the top 20 in four of his last six events.
Mickelson is 15th in the world rankings. He also is seeking his first win this year and his first win since 2013. Despite a good showing at the Ryder Cup, Mickelson has finished outside the top 10 in five straight tournaments.
