Sony Open Odds
The 2018 PGA Tour continues this week with the playing of the Sony Open. Here is a look at the odds for this week’s tournament.
According to the latest oddsmakers, both Jordan Spieth is the favorite to win, as he is listed with 5/1 odds. Other short odds to prevail are Justin Thomas (8/1), Marc Leishman (16/1) and Kevin Kisner (20/1). The Sony Open takes place Thursday-Sunday from Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Spieth is second in the world rankings and coming off a ninth-place finish at the Tournament of Champions last week. That makes seven straight top-10 finishes for Spieth. He has won at least three tournament in each of the last three years. Spieth was third in this event a year ago.
Thomas is the defending champion of this event, setting the tournament record in the process as he won by seven strokes. It was one of five wins for Thomas in 2017, his best year on tour by a wide margin. He has finished 11th or better in six of his last nine tournaments.
Leishman comes into this week 12th in the world rankings. He is coming off a 2017 where he picked up two wins. Leishman has finished in the top 10 in five of his last seven tournaments and placed 20th in this tournament a year ago.
Kisner is 27th in the world rankings entering this week. He has made 12 straight cuts and has placed in the top 20 in four straight tournaments. Kisner earned one win a year ago and he finished fourth in this event in 2017.
