The FedEx Cup Playoffs officially get underway this week with The Northern Trust. Here is a look at the odds to win this playoff opener.

According to the latest oddsmakers, Hideki Matsuyama is favored to win this tournament, as he has 10/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jordan Spieth (11/1), Rory McIlroy (11/1) and Rickie Fowler (12/1). The Northern Trust takes place Thursday-Sunday at Glen Oaks in Old Westbury, New York.

Matsuyama is second in the world rankings coming into this tournament. He has won two tournaments in 2017 and has finished in the top 15 of his last five tournaments, including a runner-up finish in the U.S. Open and a fifth-place finish in the PGA Championship.

Spieth is third in the world rankings. He has three wins this year, including the Open Championship. Spieth is coming off a 28th-place finish in the PGA Championship a few weeks ago.

McIlroy is fourth in the world rankings right now. He is coming off a 22nd-place finish in the PGA Championship and has yet to win a tournament in 2017.

Fowler comes into this weekend 10th in the world rankings. He has one win this year, but has also finished in the top 10 in five of his last six tournaments. Fowler was fifth at the PGA Championship.
