According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, Hideki Matsuyama and Jordan Spieth are co-favorites to win, as each have 9/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jon Rahm (10/1), Justin Thomas (16/1) and Rickie Fowler (16/1). The Waste Management Phoenix Open takes place Thursday-Sunday from TPC Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Matsuyama is the two-time defending champion of this tournament and he finished second in 2015. He steps into this weekend fifth in the world rankings. He is coming off a 12th-place finish at the Farmers Insurance open and has four top-5 finishes over his last six events.
Spieth is third in the world rankings, recently getting passed by Rahm. He has finished in the top 10 in seven of his last eight tournaments, but is coming off an 18th-place finish at the Sony Open in Hawaii. Spieth placed ninth in this tournament last year.
Rahm is second in the world rankings thanks two winning two of his last three tournaments. He is coming off a 29th-place finish at the Farmers Insurance Open this past weekend. Rahm finished 16th in this even last year.
Thomas is fourth in the world rankings but has finished outside the top 10 in his first two tournaments of 2018. He is coming off a great 2017, where he won five tournaments and the FedEx Cup. Thomas missed the cut in this tournament a year ago.
Fowler has finished second in this tournament twice, last doing so in 2016. Fowler is coming off a missed cut in the Farmers Insurance Open, but he had finished in the top 5 in four of his last five prior to that. He currently sits seventh in the world rankings.
