BMW Championship Picks
The BMW Championship should be very competitive. Action tees off tomorrow morning. Here are some golfers we think can contend for the victory.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Rory McIlroy is favored to win this tournament, as he has 5/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jason Day (15/2), Dustin Johnson (9/1), Adam Scott (14/1) and Jordan Spieth (14/1). The BMW Championship features the top 70 remaining on the FedEx Cup points list and takes place Thursday-Sunday this week from Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, IN.
Rory McIlroy is coming off a big win last week in the Deutsche Bank Championship and now he returns to Crooked Stick for the BMW Championship. He won this tournament in 2012, the last time it was played at Crooked Stick. He also has 11 top-10 finishes this year and we can certainly see him getting back-to-back wins this weekend.
Adam Scott has finished fourth in the first two FedEx Cup playoff events, so we like him to be near the top of the leaderboard again this week. Already with two wins in 2016, Scott can take this weekend’s tournament if he gets a hot putter on the weekend. He hasn’t missed a cut this year, so you know he will be in the mix come Saturday.
Bubba Watson has 50/1 odds this week, which are longer odds than usual for him. He finished second in this tournament back in 2014 and was 10th last year. He has been in a bit of a rough patch for the second half of the year, but can bounce back this week. He has one win this year and five top-10 finishes. Expect another strong showing this week with a potential upset win.
