Deutsche Bank Championship Picks
The 2016 Detusche Bank Championship gets underway on Friday morning. Here are some golfers we like to contend for the win.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Jason Day is favored to win this week, as he has 13/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (9/1), Jordan Spieth (12/1) and Rory McIlroy (12/1). The Deutsche Bank Championship features the top 100 remaining on the FedEx Cup points list and takes place Friday through Monday this week from TPC Boston in North, Massachusetts.
Bet on the Deutsche Bank Championship
Rory McIlroy could be one to think about wagering on despite being a little under the radar. Despite having 12/1 odds, not many expect much from him this weekend. However, he is the 2012 champion of this event and still has 10 top-10 finishes this year. McIlroy has placed in the top 5 in four of his last seven events, including one win. McIlroy is still very much a threat to win these playoffs.
Rickie Fowler has 20/1 odds to win this weekend and I like those odds for him. 2016 hasn’t really been his year, but Fowler is the defending champion of this tournament and he is coming off a seventh-place finish last weekend at The Barclays. Fowler has now made the cut in seven straight events and I think he will be a strong contender this weekend.
Brooks Koepka is winless this year, but this seems like a good week for him to end that. With 40/1 odds, Koepka is a good value play. He has seven top-10 finishes this year and has placed in the top 10 in two of his last three events, as well as four of his last seven. Look for Koepka to be a nice dark horse to win this weekend.
