Farmers Insurance Open Picks

The 2017 Farmers Insurance Open is set to get started on Thursday in Hawaii. Here are some golfers we like to contend for the win.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Dustin Johnson is now the favorite with 8/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jason Day (10/1) and Hideki Matsuyama (12/1). The Farmers Insurance Open takes place Thursday-Sunday from Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California.

Bet on the Farmers Insurance Open

Dustin Johnson had a great 2016 and his 2017 is off to a pretty good start as well. He has finished second in one tournament and sixth in another. Johnson had three wins a year ago with 15 top-10 finishes. I expect him to make another run at a win this weekend.

Jason Day took some time off at the end of 2016, but looked good in his first tournament of 2017, placing 12th. Day has won this event before, so he knows the right approach to attacking the course. Day only missed one cut a year ago, so he will be in the mix come the weekend and should be able to make a charge for the victory.

Brandt Snedeker has 25/1 odds to win this tournament and he comes in as a two-time winner of this event and the defending champion. While he missed the cut in the Sony Open, it was his first cut in 15 events. Since his last cut before that, he picked up one win and finished in the top 15 in six other events. I like Snedeker to have another strong showing at a course he does very well at.
