AT&T Byron Nelson Picks
The 2017 AT&T Byron Nelson tees off Thursday morning. Here are some golfers we like to contend for the victory in this week’s PGA event.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Dustin Johnson is the favorite in this tournament, as he is getting 9/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Jordan Spieth (12/1) and Sergio Garcia (12/1). The AT&T Byron Nelson takes place on Thursday-Sunday from the TPC Four Seasons at Las Colinas in Irving, Texas.
Sergio Garcia has done very well at this tournament. He is a two-time winner and the defending champion. Garcia also has two wins this year, including The Masters last month for his first major championship. Garcia hasn’t finished in the top 10 in the events he hasn’t won this year. Still, Garcia is always strong at the courses he likes and he certainly likes this course. Look for him to push for another win this weekend.
Brooks Koepka has 14/1 odds to win this weekend. He finished runner up to Garcia in this tournament a year ago and comes in pretty hot right now. In his last four tournaments, Koepka has finished 16th or better, including a runner-up finish at the Texas Open. He also placed 11th at The Masters. I like Kopeka to build on last year’s finish and climb to the very top this weekend.
If you are looking for a dark horse this weekend, Brandt Snedeker could be your guy. He has 40/1 odds to win, but those are great odds for a player of his ability. Snedeker has made the cut in his last five tournaments. He has placed 28th or better in all five of those events, including an 11th place finish at his last event, the RBC Heritage. Snedeker won two events a year ago and has won at least two tournament in three of the last five years. I think he makes a push for his first win of 2017 this weekend.
