AT&T Byron Nelson Predictions
The next event up for the 2018 PGA Tour is the AT&T Byron Nelson. Here’s a look at the odds to win this year’s tournament.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Jordan Spieth is favored this week, as he has 9/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Matt Kuchar (18/1) and Sergio Garcia (18/1), while three others have 20/1 odds. AT&T Byron Nelson takes place Thursday-Sunday from Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas.
Jordan Spieth 9/2
Jordan Spieth is the top golfer in this week’s field. His third spot in the world rankings makes him the man to beat. Spieth has played in 11 tournaments this year and has four top-10 finishes. The 2018 season hasn’t been his best yet, but he showed some glimpses of returning to his old form in recent weeks.
Jimmy Walker 20/1
Walker comes into the weekend with 20/1 odds this weekend. While he sits back at 56th in the world rankings, Walker is on the move upward. He finished second in The Players Championship last weekend and was fourth in the Texas Open a month ago. The Byron Nelson has been a pretty good event for him as well. He finished second in the 2015 tournament. I think Walker should continue his recent hot streak this weekend.
Billy Horschel 22/1
Horschel is the defending champion of this tournament after beating Jason Day in a playoff. While Horschel has not been having a great 2018, missing five cuts, he has been playing better as of late. He has made his last three cuts, including a top-5 finish and two top-11 finishes. Returning to a course he has played well at should allow him to continue his recent boost.
