Valero Texas Open Odds
The next stop on the 2018 PGA Tour is the Valero Texas Open. Here is a look at the odds to come away with the victory in this week’s golf tournament.
According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, Sergio Garcia is the favorite this weekend, as he has 12/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Matt Kuchar and Charley Hoffman, who are each listed with 18/1 odds. The Valero Texas Open is set to take place from the TPC San Antonio-AT&T Oaks Course in San Antonio, Texas from Thursday-Sunday.
Garcia is 10th in the world rankings coming into the weekend. The 2017 Masters champion was unable to defend his green jacket, missing the cut in the first major of 2018. This year, Garcia has competed in seven tournaments and finished in the top 10 in four of them. The missed cut at Augusta was the first cut he missed this year.
Kuchar is 21st in the world rankings this week. He is having a pretty steady 2018 season so far, as he has made the cut in all 10 events this year. He is coming off a 28th place finish at the Masters and a 23rd place finish in the RBC Heritage. Still, he has three top-10 finishes this year.
Hoffman was the 2016 winner of this tournament. He followed that up last year by finishing 40th. Hoffman is 26th in the world rankings right now, but he hasn’t done much to brag about this year. Out of 10 appearances, he doesn’t have a single top-10 finishes and has missed one cut. Hoffman’s best showing this year was his 12th-place finish at the Masters two weeks ago.
