Valspar Championship Predictions
The 2019 Valspar Championship takes place this weekend from Florida and will tee off on Thursday morning. Here’s three golfers we like to contend for the win.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Dustin Johnson is favored to win this weekend, as he is listed at 5/1 to win. Other short odds to win are Jon Rahm (10/1), Jason Day (11/1) and Sergio Garcia (16/1). The Valspar Championship takes place Thursday-Sunday from Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida.
Bet on The Valspar Championship
1000 Dustin Johnson 5/1
Johnson remains No. 1 in the world rankings after a fifth-place finish last weekend in THE PLAYERS Championship. Out of seven tournament this year, Johnson has finished in the top 10 five times with two wins. DJ is really locked in right now and playing some of the best golf of his career. I expect that to continue this weekend. He should be among the final pairings on Sunday and I like his chances from there.
1006 Patrick Reed 20/1
Reed is having a 2019 to forget thus far, as he has failed to crack the top 10 in eight tournaments. However, he has finished in the top 15 in four of them. Now he comes to a tournament that he has played pretty well at. He was runner-up a year ago and also finished second in 2015. I think returning to this event will be a nice boost for him and help him contend for his first win of the new year.
1010 Keegan Bradley 40/1
Bradley is a nice longer odds option to consider this weekend. Bradley hasn’t really lived up to his potential since his 2011 PGA Championship, but we have seen a recent upswing from Bradley. He has made all eight cuts in 2019 while placing in the top 10 in the WGC-Mexico Championship. Bradley also finished 16th in THE PLAYERS last week. He was in contention for a win before one poor round really set him back. Given his ability to make cuts and his recent ability to post low rounds, I think Bradley has a chance for a surprise win this week. The 40/1 odds provide a lot of upside.
