The PGA Tour holds one of its bigger annual events this week with the Wells Fargo Championship being played. Here’s a look at the odds to win this week’s tournament.
According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, Rory McIlroy finds himself as the favorite, as he has 13/2 odds to prevail. Other short odds to win are Justin Thomas (10/1) and Rickie Fowler (10/1). Tiger Woods is also competing this week. He has 22/1 odds. The Wells Fargo Championship will take place Thursday-Sunday from Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, NC.
McIlroy is a two-time winner of this event, last claiming the title in 2015 with a tournament record 21-under par. McIlroy is seventh in the world rankings right now and coming off his fifth-place finish at The Masters. This year, he has four top-10 finishes and one victory.
Thomas is second in the world rankings and having a nice run so far in 2018. Out of 18 tournaments, he has finished 22nd or better in all eight, including one win and one runner-up finish.
Fowler won this event back in 2012. He comes into this week sixth in the world rankings. Fowler is coming off a runner-up finish at The Masters last month. He has two top-10 finishes out of eight tournaments this year.
Woods was the 2007 winner of this tournament. He hasn’t played since the Masters, where he finished 32nd. Out of six tournaments in 2018, Woods has two top-10 finishes. He took second in the Valspar Championship, which was his best finish since 2013.
