Shriners Open Predictions
The PGA Tour begins play in the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open on Thursday morning. Here’s some of the golfers we like to contend for the win this weekend.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Rickie Fowler and Tony Finau are co-favored to win this week, as each has 12/1 odds. Jordan Spieth and Bryson DeChambeau are each listed with 14/1 odds. The PGA Shriners Hospitals for Children Open takes place Thursday-Sunday from TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada
Bet on the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open
Rickie Fowler 12/1
Fowler enters the weekend ninth in the world rankings. In 2018, Fowler has yet to pick up a win. This could mark the first year since 2014 that he doesn’t record a victory. Fowler has just six top-10 finishes in 2018, but he has back-to-back top-10 finishes. I expect Fowler to really push hard this weekend as he won’t want to go winless for the year.
Tony Finau 12/1
Finau is 15th in the world rankings coming into this weekend. Finau finished second in last week’s HSBC Champions event. In 2018, Finau is winless, but has three runner-up finishes and 11 top-10 finishes. He has placed 15th or better in six straight tournaments. Finau placed 16th in this event last year and I expect a better finish this weekend. Given his consistency as of late, I think he can break through with the win.
Bryson DeChambeau 15/1
DeChambeau has climbed to sixth in the world rankings after his strong finish this year. He has three wins in 2018, including two of his last four events. On the year, DeChambeau also has eight top-10 finishes. Last year, he placed seventh in this tournament. Given how well he finished the FedEx Cup season and his success in this event last year, I like DeChambeau to be a top contender this weekend.
