Honda Classic Free Picks
The Honda Classic begins play later this morning and we have some suggested golfers to wager on this weekend.
According to oddsmkers from RealBets, Rory McIlroy is the favorite this week, as he is getting odds of 11/2 to win. Other short odds are Rickie Fowler (11/1) and Patrick Reed (16/1). The Honda Classic takes place today-Sunday from PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Rickie Fowler is off to a good start to 2016, with three top-5 finishes, including one win. He also has placed in the top 25 in nine of his last 10 outings, which has seen two victories. With 11/1 odds, we like Fowler to make a push for another win this weekend.
Branden Grace heads to the U.S. this weekend for his first PGA event of the year. He has been on a real tear overseas, finishing in the top 10 in six straight events, with five top-5 finishes and one victory. Grace has 25/1 odds this weekend and we think he will ride this hot streak into something good at the Honda Classic.
Paul Casey has 33/1 odds this weekend and we like those numbers for him. He finished third in this tournament last year and 12th in 2014, so this is clearly a course he performs well at. He hasn’t had a tremendous start to the year, but that can have its benefits. His odds are probably longer than they should be given his resume at this course.
