Updated Masters Odds
Augusta National announced this week that the 2020 Masters Championship wouldn’t be taking place on the originally scheduled date due to the COVID-19 outbreak. But, there are still plans for the first major of the year to take place at a later date.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Rory McIlroy is the favorite to claim the Green Jacket this year, as he has 13/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Jon Rahm (11/1), Tiger Woods (12/1) and Justin Thomas (14/1).
Bet on The Masters Championship
McIlroy has climbed back to the No. 1 spot in the world rankings this year and he is having an impressive run. McIlroy has finished in the top five in seven straight tournaments, including one win. The only major McIlroy has yet to win is The Masters. He has finished in the top 10 five times, but never grabbed the jacket.
Rahm is currently second in the world rankings. He is on a similar run to McIlroy, as he has finished in the top 10 in seven of his last eight events, which includes two wins and two runner-up finishes. Rahm is looking to win his first major of his career, but he finished fourth at Augusta in 2018 and ninth in 2019.
Woods is 11th in the world rankings but he has only played in two tournaments this year. He was 68th in the Genesis Invitational and ninth in the Farmers Insurance Open. Woods ended over a 10-year drought without a major last year when he won the 2019 Masters by one shot. He now has 15 majors over his career.
Thomas is fourth in the world rankings right now. He has been a bit hit-or-miss this year, as he has finished sixth or better in three of the five events he has played in, while missing the cut in the two others. Thomas won the 2017 PGA Championship for his only major championship, but he has yet to crack the top 10 at Augusta over four tries.
