Spieth starts fast at Augusta
The 2016 Masters Championship has completed one round of play and a familiar face is in the lead as Jordan Spieth could be running away with the title again.
According to oddsmkers from Bovada.lv, Spieth is now the clear favorite to win this tournament, as he has +185 odds to win. Other golfers with short odds are Rory McIlroy (+550), Justin Rose (+900) and Jason Day (+900).
Spieth is the current leader after posting a 66 (-6) on Thursday. It marks the fifth straight round he is leading the Masters after being the wire-to-wire winner last year.
McIlroy finds himself at -2 for the tournament, four shots behind Spieth, after posting a 70 on Thursday. McIlroy struggled toward the end of his round, going 2-over for his last three holes.
Justin Rose finds himself tied for fourth place at -3 overall after he shot a 69 on Thursday. Rose had six birdies and three bogeys in his round.
Day is the No. 1 golfer in the world and won back-to-back events coming into the Masters, but he shot an even-par 72 on Thursday. Day was 5-under after 9, but struggled on the back, including a triple-bogey on the Par-3 16th.
