Woods struggling in World Challenge
ISLEWORTH, FL (TheSpread) – The Hero World Challenge is halfway complete and tournament host Tiger Woods is nowhere near the front.
Woods has struggled in his return to action, posting a 77 on Thursday in the opening round. He bounced back somewhat on Friday by shooting a 2-under 70, but he still sits at +3 for the tournament, which is two shots worse than anyone else in the 18-golfer field.
Jordan Spieth is currently in the lead by two shots at -11. He and Steve Stricker were the only two unable to fully complete their rounds. Spieth has a two-shot edge on Henrik Stenson, who is at -9 after shooting a 68 on Friday.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Spieth is the favorite to win this tournament now, as he has 7/4 odds while Stenson comes in with 3/1 odds. Woods now has 500/1 odds to win this event, which has two rounds remaining.
