Updated U.S. Open Odds
The first two rounds of the 2019 U.S. Open are in the books and there are a lot of big names near the top of the leaderboard.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Rory McIlroy is now the favorite to win, as he is listed with 4/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Gary Woodland (5/1), Justin Rose (5/1) and Brooks Koepka (7/1). The 2019 U.S. Open continues Saturday and Sunday from Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California.
McIlroy is the favorite, but Woodland holds the lead going into Saturday’s third round. He posted a 6-under, 65 on Friday to get to -9 for the tournament. Woodland has a two-stroke lead on the field. He has not won a major or finished in the top 10 of a U.S. Open.
McIlroy sits tied for fourth at -5 for the tournament after shooting a 2-under, 69 on Friday. McIlroy is a four-time major winner and the 2011 U.S. Open champion, however he had missed the cut in the previous three U.S. Open events.
Rose finds himself in second right now at -7 for the tournament. He was in the lead for most of Friday until Woodland surged late. Rose shot a 1-under, 70 on Friday. Rose is a former U.S. Open winner, taking the title in 2013 for the only major championship of his career.
Koepka is five shots back at -4 for the tournament after posting his second consecutive 2-under, 69 on Friday. He is the two-time defending U.S. Open champion and he has finished first or second in four of the last five majors. Over the last 10 majors, Koepka has finished 13th or better in nine of them.
