Updated U.S. Open Odds
The first round of the 2018 U.S. Open is complete and it was a tough round for many, with just four golfers going under par. Here’s the latest odds to win the major.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Dustin Johnson is the favorite with 5/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Justin Rose (11/2), Henrik Stenson (12/1) and Ian Poulter (16/1). The U.S. Open continues Friday-Sunday from Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York.
Dustin Johnson is one of the four golfers at -1 for the tournament after grinding out a 69 on Thursday. DJ is the 2016 U.S. Open champion and seeking his second major championship of his career.
Rose is currently tied for sixth after shooting a 1-over 71 on Thursday. Rose won the 2013 U.S. Open, but he has massed the cut the last two years. He has just one top-10 finish over the last eight majors.
Stenson is also tied for sixth at +1 for the tournament after posting a 71. He is seeking his first U.S. Open, but he is a former major winner, claiming the 2016 Open Championship. He has just two top-10 finishes in the U.S. Open over 11 appearances.
Poulter joins Johnson as one of four golfers at -1 for the tournament. Poulter has never won a major championship in his career and he has never landed in the top 10 of the U.S. Open in 12 career appearances.
