Valspar Championship Odds
The PGA Tour heads to Florida this weekend for the Valspar Championship. Here is a look at the opening odds for the tournament.
According to oddsmkers from Bovada.lv, Jordan Spieth is the favorite, as he has 11/2 odds to win. Other golfers with short odds are Henrik Stenson (14/1) and Daniel Willett (20/1). The Valspar Championship takes place March 10-13 from Innisbrook – Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Florida.
Spieth is the defending champion of this tournament. He is currently No. 1 in the world rankings but in a bit of a funk by his standards, as he has finished outside the top 10 in his last three outings. He still has six wins from 2015-16, including one win this year already.
Stenson is seventh in the world rankings. He has not had a win since 2015, but has finishing sixth or better in two of three events this year. He was fourth in this tournament a year ago.
Willett is currently 11th in the world rankings. He has played in Europe mostly and has one win this year and placed third in last week’s WGC event. The last two non-major PGA events he played in the U.S., he has missed the cut.
