The Spartans, after an injury riddled season, came back strong and won the Big 10 Championship by crushing instate rivals Michigan by double digits (69-55) in the finale. When this Spartans team is close to 100% healthy they are very much a final four team that deserves the respect of the pundits and lines-makers.
The Spartans are a No. 4 seed in the East Region and are expected to be contenders to win the Tournament. According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Michigan State is listed with 9-2 odds to be center court on April 7. I agree that the Spartans should have great odds to win and feel they are an intimidating force that will send shivers down the spines of any all of their tournament opponents.
The Tom Izzo-led No. 22-ranked Spartans (26-8, 12-6 B1G) will face the Delaware Blue Hens (25-9, 14-2 Colonial) on Thursday in Spokane, Wash. Look for this to be first of some lopsided wins for Michigan State in this tournament!
