Will the Rams win the West?
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – While the public will be all over the Seahawks to win the NFC West this season, I want to look at another possibility that has an extremely large amount of value with the Saint Louis Rams.

Seattle comes into this season with a bulls-eye on their back and I can guarantee you it will not be as easy as last year. This is the NFL and there are so many changes from season-to-season, it is very hard for a team to maintain such dominance. Currently the Seahawks are an even money proposition to win the NFC West.
Are they going to win the division? They might, but there is no value in this wager as the NFL season is 16 games and there are so many unknowns that can happen. I will say that Seattle loses two home games or more this season starting with their season opener on 9/04 vs. Green Bay as this is a huge revenge spot for Aaron Rogers and the Packers. Then on 9/21 Peyton Manning will be in town for another huge revenge game from the Super Bowl.
The NFC West will be a tough division this season and I will say that the Seahawks will more than likely split at the best with the 49ers,Rams, and Cardinals. I am seeing the Seahawks finishing the season at 11-5 at best , but more than likely 10-6.
The Saint Louis Rams are currently listed at 10/1 odds to win the NFC West. The Rams have made huge strides in the off-season to beef-up their team and become more competitive. They beefed up their offensive and defensive line with two first-round draft picks in Greg Robinson and Aaron Donald. Robinson was described as being the top run-blocking tackle in the draft who paved the way for Tre Mason at Auburn last season as the Rams passed up on WR Sammy Watkins to get Robinson.
They then followed up with RB Tre Mason from Auburn who with Zac Stacey will be a top-notch running back core. Donald was the top ranked interior defensive lineman and I will go out on a limb and call for the Rams to have the #1 Defensive Line in the NFL this season.
HC Jeff Fisher also went out and got WR Kenny Britt from the Titans and Fisher I feel will work with Britt and he can be a reliable option for the Rams this season. Britt along with the second year speedsters of Austin and Bailey should be a nice WR corps for QB Sam Bradford this season along with big TE Jared Cook.
I like the Rams to go 4-0 in divisional home games this season. The only home loss might be to Denver on 11/16, but the Rams have the defensive line to put pressure on Peyton Manning so watch out as the Broncos will be on ‘upset alert’ in this game. I also think the Rams will win at least 1 divisional road game if not two. With a few other tough games that will end up in losses, I can see the Rams atop the NFC West with a 11-5 record. At 10/1 odds, this is a Great Value Play that is too good to pass up.
