Are the Kings the play in Game 2?
LOS ANGELES, CA (The Spread) – Will the Rangers rebound in Game 2 of the 2014 NHL Stanley Cup Finals tonight versus the Kings?
The Stanley Cup Finals continue Saturday night as the Rangers look to even the series in Game 2 versus the Kings in L.A. with coverage provided by NBC starting at 7:00PM ET. Let’s take a look at what might be the right play for bettors.
Game 1 didn’t disappoint as the Kings pulled out the victory in overtime with a 3-2 win. You would have to expect each game between these two teams to be just as competitive.
The Rangers jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in Game 1, but the Kings tightened up, and shut New York down the rest of game, pulling out the win in early overtime. This points me in the direction that the Kings have the edge on making adjustments during the game, and that could be the difference in Game 2. The public is more or less split on this one, but the Kings are the play here.
I also like the under for Game 2. Game 1 pushed at 3-2, but I don’t see the Rangers jumping out to an early 2-0 lead for the second time in a row. These two teams will tighten up the defense, which will create less scoring opportunities. The public money is pouring in on the over, but the line hasn’t budged. Take the Under and cash in.
