2015 NFL Divisional Round Playoffs: Which underdog offers best bet?

Best Divisional Round Dog?

LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The Ravens, Panthers, Cowboys, and Colts are all underdogs for this weekend’s divisional round games in the NFL.  Which dog is the best play for bettors?

View Jay Dotson’s Expert Picks

The Seattle Seahawks are listed as 10.5-point favorites as they play host to the Carolina Panthers Saturday night at 8:15PM ET.  This is the underdog bettors should pounce on.

There are powerful indicators that point to why the Panthers are a strong underdog play in this weekend.  First off, double-digit underdogs have covered 59% of the time in the NFL playoffs over the past 35 years.  Super Bowl champs have also been a poor investment as they are an ugly 0-5 SU and ATS since January 2006.

You could make the argument for Seattle’s defense as they have given up less than 10 points in each of their last three games, but that actually goes against them here.  This puts them in a powerful trend where teams that have given up nine or less in three straight games are just 16 of 49 ATS dating back to 1980.

All these factors point to a solid cover from the Panthers, not too mention heavy public money coming in on the Seahawks. Take the Panthers plus the points Saturday night.
