Braves vs. Diamondbacks Pick

With the number set at 9.5, will the Braves and Diamondbacks play over the total or fall under when they meet at 9:40PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Diamondbacks are -145 money line favorites versus the Braves, who have odds of +130 to pull off the upset tonight in Arizona. With Mike Foltynewicz set to oppose Zack Godley in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 9.5 runs.

Bet Tonight’s Braves vs. Diamondbacks Game

ATLANTA: Foltynewicz was solid in his last outing, striking out seven batters while allowing two runs in five innings to take a no-decision versus the Twins on Wednesday. He gave up five hits and three walks and wasn’t very efficient as a whole, but the 24-year-old is showing signs of improvement of late. Walks are still an issue and so are home runs, but Foltynewicz is making some strides.

ARIZONA: Godley is also coming off a strong start, allowing just two runs in 7 1/3 innings in a win over the Mets. Granted, he wasn’t facing a juggernaut of a lineup (James Loney was batting cleanup for New York that night), but it was a solid outing nonetheless.

OUR PICK: The over is 3-0-1 in the last four meetings between these two teams in Arizona. The over is also a perfect 4-0 in Godley’s last four starts overall, is 12-4 in the Diamondbacks’ last 16 games on Monday, and is 4-0 in their last four games versus National League East opponents. The over is 5-0 in Foltynewicz’s last five starts overall as well.
