Rory McIlroy and defending champion Adam Scott are listed at odds of 10/1 each, with Phil Mickelson, Jason Day and Matt Kuchar having 12/1 odds.
This group plus some hidden fine gems from possible surprise winners, such as 200/1 Miguel Angel Jimenez, could make for plenty of value for bettors.
Mickelson, who is in my opinion is currently looking strong, and healthier than expected, adds a lot of value to his odds of winning. He has five majors and three masters under his belt and is a clutch southpaw golfer that has an added advantage at Augusta, as he knows how to take advantage of the fast greens.
Here are some bets that I have already made and I obviously feel are very capable of winning this prestigious golf spectacular and walking away with the green jacket.
Futures:
Bubba Watson 20/1
Rory McIllroy 10/1
Phil Mickelson 12/1
Charl Schwartzel 40/1
Individual Wagers
Bubba Watson pick vs Dustin Johnson
Charles Schwartzel (-125) vs. Lee Westwood
Long Drivers
Former champion and heavy hitter Bubba Watson owns the longest driver averages in this elite group of golfers, averaging 317.7 yards per drive. Big Bubba is also owns the kind of approach accuracy that is tactically advanced and almost always puts himself in a great position, when advancing towards the green.
Miracle Winners
It must be noted that a Masters rookie has not won since 1979, when Fuzzy Zoeller grabbed the green garb to the amazement of the golfing community. Odds are long that another rookie can pull of that feat in 2014.
