Are the Reds a good value vs. Cards?
National League Central rivals clash tonight in Cincinnati when the Reds host the struggling Cardinals at 7:10PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Reds are -150 money line favorites versus the Reds, who have odds of +135 to pull off the upset after hammering St. Louis 11-0 on Thursday night. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 8 runs after opening at 8.5.
The Cardinals are 1-4 in John Lackey’s last five starts versus the Reds and 1-4 in their last five games overall. They’ve also lost six of their last eight games and are 1-4 in Lackey’s last five road starts. The Cards have been outstanding for five months but their pitchers are suffering a regression to the mean, making the Reds a good value tonight.
