Giants’ games falling under for bettors
PITTSBURGH, PA (Totals Authority) – The banged up Giants head to PNC Park tonight to take on the Pirates at 7:05PM ET in a game where runs could be at a premium.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Pirates are now -133 money line favorites after opening with -123 odds to win, while the Giants’ odds are now +129 after opening at -105. The total is sitting at 8 runs.
While Nori Aoki is returning to the lineup tonight, the Giants are still without Hunter Pence, Joe Panik and Angel Pagan. Without that production, the under is 3-0-1 in the Giants’ last four games and the team is coming off a series in St. Louis where they scored a total of six runs in three games (albeit against an outstanding Cardinal pitching staff).
The under is also 6-1 in the Giants’ last seven games versus a right-handed starter and 8-1 in Jake Peavy’s last nine starts coming off four days of rest.
