Cards struggling with Lackey on road
CHICAGO, IL (Lock Labs) – One of the longest rivalries in sports will be renewed tonight when the Cubs host the Cardinals at 8:05PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Cubs are -129 money line favorites over the Cardinals, who are +119 money line underdogs. John Lackey will take the mound for St. Louis versus Jon Lester of the Chicago.
The Cardinals have really struggled when Lackey pitches on the round. They’re just 2-9 in his last 11 road starts and winless at 0-5 in his last five starts as an underdog. The Cubs, meanwhile, are 4-1 in their last five games overall and a perfect 6-0 in his last six starts versus the NL Central.
