Padres vs. Dodgers Pick

The Padres have been a poor bet in Los Angeles but will that change tonight when they visit the Dodgers at 10:10PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Dodgers are -215 money line favorites versus the Padres, who have odds of +175 to pull off the upset. With Clayton Richard set to face Julio Urias in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 7.5 runs.

Bet Tonight’s Padres vs. Dodgers Game

SAN DIEGO: Richard pitched very well in his last outing, earning a victory over the Marlins last Saturday. He allowed eight hits and walked just one batter over seven scoreless innings of work. He also struck out three and now owns a 3.51 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP on the season.

LOS ANGELES: Tonight could be Urias final turn through the rotation before he’s moved back into the Dodgers’ bullpen. The 20-year-old has pitched a total of 108 innings this year between Triple-A Oklahoma City and the big-leagues after throwing 80 1/3 innings last year in the minors. The youngster has been dominant, owning a 0.92 ERA over his last four starts.

OUR PICK: The Padres have been a poor bet to beat the Dodgers of late. They’re 18-41 in their last 59 games versus the Dodgers overall and are 8-21 in their last 29 meetings in Los Angeles, as well as 1-4 in Richard’s last five road starts versus their NL West rivals. The Dodgers, meanwhile, are a perfect 8-0 in Urias’ last eight starts and are 6-0 in his last six home starts.
