Derek Jeter has won five World Series rings, was the 2000 World Series MVP, 1996 AL Rookie of the Year and is a 13-time All-Star . The darling of the Yankee faithful owns a career .312 BA 3,316 hits , which ranks him 10th on the all time list and has clobbered 256 home runs. He ranks first in Yankees history in games played, at-bats, hits and stolen bases. As you can see the odds are very high for him to be a hall of fame inductee.
PROP – Batting Average in the 2014 Regular Season – Derek Jeter Over/Under .290-This one is interesting as Jeter is know as a contact hitter. The only season he hit less than .290 was 2010 when he .270 . Just a couple of years back in 2012, Jeter hit .316 on 216 hits, which was amazing. Jeter is a natural born hitter. Even though he took last year off , he has continued to work hard on his god given abilities and wont be surprised if he hovers around the .290 BA range before the season ends.
PROP – Total games played in the 2014 Regular Season – Derek Jeter Over/Under 120½-This on to me is a given. While there is not such thing as a sure bet, this ones got to much value to it to pass up. I’m betting the Yankees will use him as a designated hitter on a consistent basis and the odd replacement spot tokeep the fan base happy during his much publicized farewell season. Barring injury the Yanks will make every effort to get him into as many games as possible.
