This game features the 45-44 Yankees Vs the 44-45 Indians. Brandon McCarthy is set to make his debut for the Yankees, while Josh Tomlin is set to get the start for the Indians. McCarthy carries over from the NL a 3-10 record with a 5.01 ERA, while Tomlin is 5-6 on the year with a 4.11 ERA. The Indians picked up a win on Tuesday over the Yankees beating out the mighty Tanaka and I look for Cleveland to carry that momentum into this one.
It’s going to take McCarthy a little time to settle in with the Yankees and making a debut on the road is never easy. Tomlin’s stats on the season aren’t overwhelming, but the Yankees rank towards the bottom in the league versus right-handed pitchers. Cleveland has also been strong at home on the season with a 26-17 record. I look for the Indians to do enough to get the win in this one. Take the Indians on the Money Line.
I also like the Under 8.5 in this one. You take a look at these two starting pitchers and you would expect a high scoring affair, but the money play is on the under. The oddsmakers have the Over paying out even in this one and that is just begging for action. The over would just be too easy and Vegas just doesn’t give money away. Take the Under 8.5.
