Home team covering in HOU vs. Jazz
HOUSTON, TX (Spread Winners) – The Rockets are nearly a double-digit favorite tonight versus the Jazz but it’s been the home team that has covered in previous meetings in this series.
The home team is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams while the under is 12-5 in the last 17 meetings and 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Houston.
The Rockets are 17-7 at the betting window in their last 24 home games and are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games playing on one day of rest, but the Jazz are 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven games versus Southwest opponents.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Rockets are 9-point home favorites versus the Jazz after opening at that same number. Houston is 7-3 in its last 10 games and 5-5 against the spread, while Utah is 7-3 straight up and 7-2-1 ATS over its last 10 games.
