Cavs struggling to cover on the road
The Pelicans own the third-worst record in the NBA and have lost four straight games but can they cover as a home underdog tonight versus the Cavs at 9:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cavs are 5-point road favorites versus the Pelicans tonight while the total currently sits at 207 points. Of the current wagers on tonight’s game, 82% of public bettors favor Cleveland to cover the 5 points.
The Cavs are coming off a game in which they posted a season-low point total in a 87-85 loss to the Wizards. LeBron James committed nine turnovers in the defeat and center Timofey Mozgov continues to struggle since returning from a shoulder injury. He went scoreless while turning the ball over four times himself.
Cleveland is now 1-5 against the spread in its last six road games and is 2-10 ATS in its lat 12 games following an ATS loss. The Cavs should win but look for the Pelicans to keep it close throughout.
