Kings vs. Hawks Prediction
Are the Hawks a safe bet to cover tonight as a home favorite versus the Kings or will Sacramento keep things close for bettors at 7:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Hawks are 7-point home favorites versus the Kings while the over/under currently sits at 201.5 points. Neither the side nor the total have moved off the original numbers posted by oddsmakers as of this writing.
The Kings enter play having won two of their first three games to start the new season, beating the Timberwolves 106-103 in their last game and Phoenix 113-94 in their opener. The only game to date that Sacramento lost was as an 8-point home underdog versus the Spurs, who beat the Kings, 102-94. The under has also cashed in two of the Kings first three games to start the season.
As for the Hawks, they’ve jumped out to a 2-0 start this season, with wins at home against the Wizards 114-99 as a 4-point favorite, and on the road 104-72 as an 8-point favorite versus the Sixers. While the over hit in Atlanta’s victory over Washington, the combined score fell under the total when the Hawks beat the Sixers on Saturday in Philadelphia.

OUR PREDICTION: The Kings have been a poor bet against the Hawks overall, and in Atlanta. They’re just 3-13 against the spread in their last 16 games versus the Hawks and are winless at 0-4 against the number in their last four games in Atlanta. The home team has also cashed in four of the last five meetings between these two teams while the Hawks are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games at home. They’re also 16-7 against the number dating back to last year in their last 23 games coming off a win. They’ve looked solid in their first two games this season and should eventually pull away tonight against the Kings.
